The common tradition of Shiite scientific fields is that if a scholar has been able to write a work that is the most common logical book in its level among Shiite fields and even sometimes non-Shiite fields for several centuries, it indicates positive eligibility. That is the effect. Among the positive conditions of the margin, we can avoid unnecessary and boring expressions, fluent and eloquent writing, the author's mastery of the topics of logic and the manner of transmission.

Hint:

Hojjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimeen was published by Ustad Abulqasem Alidoost in 1340 A.H. in Abarkoh city (in Yazd province). He completed his studies in Qom under the presence of great professors such as Ayat Vahid Khorasani, Ansari Shirazi, Misbah Yazdi, Javadi Amoli, Hasanzadeh Amoli, Mohammadi Gilani and Nekonam. Currently, he is a member of the Qom seminary community of teachers and the holder of a chair in jurisprudence and principles, and has also authored several books. In this interview, we have discussed the position of "Hashieh Mala Abdallah Yazdi" among logical books from his point of view.

In addition to thanking you for your presence in this interview, "Hashieh Mala Abdallah Yazdi" is one of the noble works of Allama Mala Abdallah Bahadi, one of the scholars and elders of the 10th century A.H., and many commentaries have been written for it based on the report of Allameh Sheikh Agha Bozor Tehrani (Sahib al-Dhari'a). Is. Allameh Mala Abdallah Yehabadi Yazdi International Congress aims to introduce the scientific and practical thoughts of this prominent Shia jurist and logician. For this purpose, we decided to hear from you the position of his most important logical work, "Hashieh Mala Abdallah Yazdi" in the knowledge of logic.
The science of logic, as a solid tool, provides a wide platform for reaching the truth in the field of thought. This knowledge is perhaps the most basic branch of philosophy, in which the subject or subject of human thought is the same nature of thought itself and the rules governing it. The rooting of logic in the root of thought and language has made this science to be considered among the organic sciences and has the role of a useful tool in the process of correct reasoning.

Among Muslim thinkers and scientists, the knowledge of logic gained a high value and prestige after paying attention to the wisdom of Masha, so that some people sometimes called the knowledge of logic "measure". Hakim Farabi considered the science of logic to be at the top of all sciences, and a scholar like Khwaja Nasiruddin Tusi believes: the science of logic is knowing the meanings from which it is possible to reach all kinds of acquired sciences. In our philosophical and logical tradition, with the efforts of the wise man of the ages, Ibn Sina, as well as Khwaja Nasir al-Din Tusi and later people like Allamah Qutb al-Din Shirazi, the knowledge of logic among Muslims was very rich and many books were written about it to the point where the efforts of Muslim logicians made the interpretation of Islamic logic famous. . "Hashieh Mala Abdallah Yazdi" was one of these books that was welcomed by Shia and Sunni scholars and nobles. The Marginal book, although it is a marginal book on Taftazani's "Refinement of Logic", but it has its own independent identity; In such a way that part of the fame of "Tahzeeb al-Matiq" is due to the fame of "Malla Abdallah Yazdi's margin". According to my opinion, "Hashieh Mala Abdallah Yazdi" has a good control over the whole logic and compared to other books, it has priority for studying and teaching; Because the text of the margin is neither concise nor use unnecessary phrases that are boring and in general it has a proper moderation and is proud in this respect.

Please tell us something about the necessity of dealing with this knowledge and whether a careful reading of "Mola Abdallah Yazdi's Margins" alone is enough and makes us logically unnecessary from other books?
There is a lot of talk about the necessity of logic, but this amount is enough that if logic is considered the error gauge of thought, there is no discussion about the necessity of learning it; Because there will be no correct thought without passing through the filter of logic, and in fact, any science that uses the reasoning method will be indebted to logic. In general seminaries, it is enough to teach a logical book, such as Sharh Manzumah, the Margin of Mala Abdallah Yazdi, Al Manqiq by Allameh Mozafar, etc. In my opinion, this method has a fundamental flaw; Because the student has to go through a huge amount of course material in a short period of time, and this will not have a good educational result. Therefore, respected students and scholars should not neglect the fact that they should benefit from some other educational books in addition to learning the main text. Especially since some of the common logical books have not dealt with some of the basic topics of this knowledge. For example, the topic of "Khums industries" is discussed very briefly in "Hasiyeh Mala Abdallah Yazdi". Therefore, it is necessary for respected students to consider other books to complete this discussion. Of course, the brief presentation of important topics such as "Sanaat Khums" is a deficiency that is aimed at the book "Tahzib al-Mutiq" rather than the "Margin of Mala Abdallah Yazdi", because the author of the margin was aiming at the text of the book "Tahzib al-Mutiq" and it is a witness that he The importance of this topic has been noted, it is mentioned at the end of the book, "Granseg Marzih" and says: "In order to compensate for the shortcomings of the writings of the recent logicians about "Sanaat Khums", it is up to you to refer to the books of the predecessors in order to free yourself from ignorance. Proof and save yourself from the pain of ignorance." Therefore, the lack of mention of some topics in "Mola Abdallah Yazdi's Margin" is due to the commentator's adherence to the text. Therefore, in answer to your question, it should be said: students and scholars should move in the direction of always studying several other books in addition to a book-centered one, in order to have a good mastery of that knowledge.

As mentioned by the author of Al-Zariyyah, the book "Hasiyeh Mala Abdallah Yazdi" has received a rare reception. How do you evaluate the reason for this reception?
The common tradition of Shiite scientific fields is that if a scholar has been able to write a work that is the most common logical book in its level among Shiite fields and even sometimes non-Shiite fields for several centuries, it indicates positive eligibility. That is the effect. Among the positive conditions of the margin, we can avoid unnecessary and boring expressions, fluent and eloquent writing, the author's mastery of the topics of logic and the manner of transmission.
